PARENT ORIENTATION NIGHT

Parent information night allows our teachers to provide detailed information for each specific grade level. You will also have a chance to receive answers to questions that you may be wondering about. Questions like, "What are the new security updates about walking students to class?"

The first day of school is the only day that you will be able to walk Dino Leaders to the classroom.

Starting Thursday, August 18, 2022, you must check in the front office with your driver's license before entering the building.

7:30 - Doors Opens

8:00 - Class Begins

3:30 - Dismissal

STUDENT NUTRITION

All students will be required to pay for their breakfast and lunch/snacks this school year unless your Dino Leader has a free/reduced meal waiver. See the information below for more details and guidelines:

  • Breakfast price for elementary - $2.00
  • Lunch price for elementary - $3.00

QUEST AFTER SCHOOL CARE

Families, are you in need of before or after-school programming? We are excited to announce that QUEST registration for the 2022-2023 school year is now open! You may go online and submit your application at www.ezchildtrack.com/misdquest/parent. All families must complete the registration process each year regardless of past attendance in the QUEST program.

If you are a returning QUEST parent from last year or summer, then you can simply log into your account and select the program you would like to register for. New families will need to create an EzChildTrack account before you will be able to complete the application process.

Please allow 48 business hours before expecting to receive a confirmation/approval email.

LUNCH VISITORS

Dino parents will be permitted to eat lunch with the leaders starting Monday, September 12, 2022. We know this is important to many families, but we need the first couple weeks of school to teach our Dino Leaders the expectations in the cafeteria before allowing visitors. We ask families to consider these guidelines when choosing to eat with their leaders:

  • We recommend parents eat lunch only with their Dino Leader.

  • Parents may bring lunch for their Dino but should not bring lunch for any other Dino Leader.

Parents can bring lunch for their Dino Leaders, but the lunch must be brought to the Dino during their specific lunchtime.

We will reevaluate these guidelines as needed.

Would you like to help the MRLA PTA? It's easy to sign up! Simply fill out the form and send your $7.00/person sign-up fee (cash or check only) to school with your student in an envelope marked “PTA”.

 

Remember, the whole family is encouraged to sign up - those extra dues go a long way toward funding school supplies, projects, and activities. Plus, you're NOT obligated to do anything after signing up if you chose not to! This link will also allow you to sign up to volunteer for your child's classroom or apply to be the Room Representative. Simply follow the steps on the form!

Would you like to help MRLA PTA? It's easy to sign up! Simply fill out this form and send your $7.00 sign-up fee (cash or check only) to your child's teacher. Complete this form and

send it to school with your Dino Leader in an envelope marked “PTA”, you save the $1.50 online processing fee! Remember, the whole family is encouraged to sign up- those extra dues go a long way toward funding school supplies, projects, and activities. Plus, you're NOT obligated to do anything after signing up if you chose not to! We are excited for this year and can't wait to see you and your leaders on campus!

 

Have you heard about our Dino Dad's program at school? Any male figure in your child's life (dad, grandpa, uncle, family friend, etc) can sign up to volunteer at drop-off, pick-up, recess, PE, art, lunch, or even come read to your class! We love seeing all the men volunteering at Martha Reid and they always have a great time at school. Dino Dads registration is free, just scan the QR code, fill out the form and we will be in contact.

Background Checks

BACKGROUND CHECKS

We have opportunities for parents to volunteer and be back on campus. In order to volunteer, we require a background check completed through MISD. This simple and quick process allows us to add an additional layer of security around our students. All parents who volunteer on campus or attend field trips are required to complete this annually for every school in which they volunteer. We are planning field trips for the spring so if you would like to attend, please be sure and do the background check now. This will be required for parents to chaperone any field trips. Please do not wait until the week of the field trip, there's no guarantee the form will be approved before the trip. Here is the link to the background check registration for your convenience.
